Thinking about Sierra

So, I didn't finish my posts about reflecting back on 2011...but maybe I will get to that later.. Today, I was going over the past images of Sierra on file and thought I would share her beauty w/ya.
The other day her Dad reminded her of how easy it was to climb the rock in New Mexico..

The Band in 2011

Well, I am really embarrassed because I didn't get my camera out much in 2011. So, there's not much to show of them...But, they had a productive year. They started playing in January 2011 in a place called the Muddy Beaver, they played the women's prison in March, had a band mate walk the same month. They were able to record a Gospel EP and I think with their busy schedules (3 working dad's, Ry went to evening shift and the main man lives an hour and 1/2 away!)....they had a good year....it has not been easy for them; but they are still at it and with good reason (They are great!). Shown below was created by Mandy Haskins-talented wife of Trapper.
Below-another created by Mandy-cover for the gospel recordings "On My Way Back Home"
Of course, they are ready to try it again and record a 3rd time. Me and the teens already have access to the songs that will probably be on the next album. The teens are just shocked at the talent of Trapper's song writing..Ezek said about each song "He wrote this?" I am so excited for the boys. I think people are going to have to wear Depends before they push play.....because it will definitely make you soil your pants.....and Ry is having fun...tired, but fun.
And, I was fortunate to tag along on many of their road trips. One trip was to Illinois....they played at a bar where the local roller derby girls went after their games. Well, holy grud!!..my kinda ladies...I was pretty much alone and drinking; so I tried my darndest to get in their circle. So, my short term goal for the night was to get the team out of the dance floor...it worked. It was awkward, I did say many times "Um, I am married w/four children." (ha ha ha) And, last song, all was dancing.Cormic shown below...helped himself on stage w/dad. He even stayed during some songs. aaahh

Final shots of 2011

The four kids on Thanksgiving.
Didn't even get the family together this year for a good family photo....rats, but here we are in New Mexico-2011
The kids at the Nashville zoo shown below
The picture below was taken one day from the car; Ry and I were on our way to the Haskin's place. It reminds me of my younger years when my dad trained horses; and we had some in our front pasture. My point? Years fly by so fast; but I do appreciate driving by a pasture in Tennessee and it reminds me of my little years in Idaho.
So, not sure what kind of journey you all have had in 2011; but we have had a pretty good one. We are very thankful for the smooth rides and even thankful for the bumpy ones...Just glad to be on this journey w/the man of my dreams (and you thought Jack was...but, no it's Ry) a wonderful family and children that are able to amaze us every day.
So, from Nashville. We wish you a happy New year!!!!
