Sierra's HS Graduation

Well,  I am sure she marked on her calendar a long time ago May 17th, 2012.  It may or may not have gone so quick for her. But,   the time flew for Ry and I. It's hard to believe we have a high school graduate. Okay, I could talk about how old we are getting but all jokes aside.... This is about Sierra and another milestone down for the record books.
Above is Carson and Sierra before the big ceremony.
 Two sisters, so lovely
Not sure how even to describe the Nashville School of the Arts 2012 graduation. It was definitely a celebration of their academic achievements and all of the Arts.

                              Let the Water Works Begin!!

Art work of the Visual Arts students were shown on big monitors while people filled the Opry House. Yes! The Grand Old Opry.
This was Sierra's art work shown..guess I didn't get all the images. She had five shown.

The ceremony began with Principal boB who spoke then gave a performance of some Beetles tunes w/his band. He was wearing a superman shirt under the gown; but I didn't get the camera out soon enough to capture that moment. Funny man and a great Principal.
This was his final graduation for NSA. He is retiring..so pretty emotional for all.

So, if you look closely. Sierra is in fourth row back back, last one on the left side.

Again, all the Arts were celebrated and each had their final goodbye and time to show off their talents. So, the light colored circle on the floor was cut out of the floor of the original Opry House..the famous Ryman or the Mother Church. So, it's the mark where all the greats performed...Yep, like my Loretta Lynn or Patsy...etc. the list goes on and on. And, these students walked this stage to receive their HS diploma...pretty amazing.

Above was the Valedictorian perfomance: "Partita II: The Allemande" by J.S. Bach
Performed by M. Edwards
The senior Orchestrra performance of Bach

Above is a Lyrical Dance Performance by seniors titled "Farewell" by Rihanna....eeh, that was a tough song to get thru. There was no "Yawall" in that little number.
Another Musical performance by a senior...this was hard to get thru w/out a kleenex..holy junk...water works.
The Choral Musical performance of "Choose Something like a Star"

Now, the above was a lot of fun to watch. Most of the Pop Ensemble members all had a moment to do their own number.
Ahhhhhhh, the big moment. Well, I think this entire ceremony was all "Big Moments"...but this was the 12 years of work moment.

Prinicpal boB and the Vice Principal. (Are you wondering if I am spelling his name wrong? He spells it that way. Like I said, he is a funny man.)

ohhhhhhhh, can you see her?...It was dark and just couldn't get a good picture of her in line.
 Getting closer

And, they call her name "Sierra  Marlis Evans"

AAAAAAHHHH! And, the crowd goes wild!!!!
Strut it girl!      Love it!          You earned it!
         YES!

And this was when I started to sing "Loooooks like we made it! yaaaa yeah!"

It was a moment you wait for soooo long and in a blink of an eye...it's over just like that...But, she walked the opry stage...what an amazing moment.

Thank you Sierra for all your hard work! You did it !

 Final Words from boB

One last song, and then they marched out.....I am telling  you. Ry and I talked and talked and we just couldn't digest that moment or the actual ceremony. We are extremely proud of Sierra and just so happy she was a part of that school. Before her new journey or chapter begins...we had to celebrate it the next day w/a little party.
A little gift giving in the house before company arrived.
Ry and I gave her a scrap book...I told her we weren't going to write a check just yet because we will be here for her college years... thank goodness.

Proud Dad...holding on tight to his littlest girl.... thinking "Holy @#%t this went by fast"

Awwww Grandpa and Grandma Evans deliver for this grad...Sierra got Vera Wang and and and
 more Vera Wang and
Money Money Money....Thank you Grandparents!   Text books are covered!

So, the teens arrived early for the party.

The calm before the storm...or alcohol was consumed...however you want to say it.
