Day at home

Skip'n out on day care and just chill'n at home with mom 4/22/09.
Yes, it was just yesterday when we called the paramedics on this little cute face.  Look at his face..he's like "what? me..I didn't do anything" ha ha ha
I just love these two close up shots..

She was only 8 months old

Tonight, Sierra came to me and said "I'll show you something; but only if you don't cry." So, I agreed. And, the above drawing is what she showed me. Sierra was only 8 months old, on April 17th, 1995 when her uncle (my brother) chose to end his own life. I guess it's just a reminder, if anyone needed it...that our behavior, choices and how we treat one another not only impact ourselves; but those closest to us. And, obviously from this drawing..I can see that a missing piece to a family can even impact the next generation...so no more.. Love em and let em know you love em while you can.Beautiful and thoughtful Sierra checking out her you tube videos.

Call to Paramedics

Ohhhh, brother. On 4/21/09, I dropped Cormic off at daycare around 6:20 am. Of course, he appeared to be normal. But, I received a call from the daycare about 8:00 am and they said "Can you come quick, his nose is bleeding and he is having difficulty breathing." In a mad dash to the car, I'm crying and trying to get a hold of Ry. Of course during this time I'm thinking of the worst things that could have happened to Cormic. Like, "who shook my baby, did they drop him?".. When I arrived at the day care, Cormic was unresponsive to my voice, he was being held by a day care worker, who was trying to get him to show some signs of normal behavior. He was cold, clammy, very pale and I could see the dried blood in both of his nostrils. In addition, there were two other workers crying and they were telling me what he had been doing. Including his eyes rolling in the back of his head.  We then decided to call paramedics. Because, I was not getting in the car with this child alone and not being able to monitor him. So, the paramedics stated he was not in a life threatening situation. Before, they left Ry arrived and we took Cormic to his pediatrician.  And, by the time we were in his office; Cormic had some color back in his cheeks and was alert. The doctor simply stated it was probably his body's reaction to mucus build up in his chest. And his little body is trying to get sick (everyone in the household has been sick lately). So, the end of the story is that he is doing much better BUT he gave us a REAL good scare and I'm soooo glad I was not in a meeting when that call came. ha ha ha. When it was all over, Ry just called Cormic a little actor. Said, "He'd do anything to keep his momma home with him."

Going with the flow

Well, it hasn't been that bad of week; so I won't complain. Cormic is loved at his day care. The day care provider has said nothing but good things about the little man. The first couple of days were hard on mom. And yes,  I'm still running to my car after work.. so I can go pick him up..ha ha ha.
Sierra and Ezekiel's soccer team is 5-0; which is wonderful because they've never been on a winning team. And, other than that we're just ...like the title said: going with the flow.

At the Office

Cormic and I went to the office today to drop off my medical release. On the way out of the building, we stopped to visit Michelle and Lisa..Cormic was a big flirt with the ladies today.

Hey, what could these ladies be gathered around the cube for?
Yep, they were checking out Mekesha holding the little guy. Thankfully, Cormic was a good little guy during the visit. Me? I have been crying pretty much all morning because I'll be returning to work 4/13/09 and he'll go to daycare. boooo hooo. But, during this time I guess those who have a job should be thankful and I am. So, thanks again to all the gifts that everyone has given Cormic and the gift you gave me was being able to stay home with Cormic a little longer because you all bought him everything he needed. SO thank you!! Nothing went unnoticed. The time went too fast!!

Silver Dukes Play 4/5/09

Travis shown above tearing it up.
Paul on keys, Travis, Ry on drums of course and Cody on bass.Where does he find these shirts???  Cormic or Ezekiel's closet..maybe??
The boys had their best show in my opinion..played tight and seemed like they had a lot of fun. It was a quick 30 minute set. Afterwards, Ry loaded the van and we were outta there in a hurry. Why? Cormic was at a 24 hr daycare, which charged $10.00 an hour.  So, we ended up paying someone to watch Cormic sleep for 3 1/2 hours. ha ha ha. BUT! point is...Cormic had his first experience at a daycare and they took good care of him. So, overall it was a good night.

The Greats come to Visit

We were very fortunate to have one set of great grandparents come to visit us 4/4/09. This is Richard and Sylvia Wildman from Boise, Idaho (Ry's grandparents on his momma's side).
Cormic touring Rock Castle with the Greats.  Cormic was pretty good during the tour...well until he got hungry and then we had to leave. Sierra and Ezekiel decided to stay at home.
Not sure if Great Grandma was too worried about what the tour guide had to say..looks like she kept her eyes glued on the little guy. ha ha ha.  I tease.
Too me this is some treat..Cormic and his Great Grandpa! Cormic's eyes might look big at this moment, because he just heard Granpa's story of when he dragged a man to death. You know the one? A man reached out to grab grandpa, the man got his hands stuck in gramps back pocket and then grandpa dragged him to death, kicking in his head with the heal of his boots ...ha ha ha. something like that.
Great Grandma Wildman holding Comic.

Great Grandpa Wildman appears to have that look where he is just about ready to say something smart...like bragging about his memory. Okay, I'll try and repeat his story: "I have a great memory. Shoot I can remember going to the prom with dad, and coming home with mom." ha ha.
I wish this was a sharper image so you can see the love in Ry's eyes for his grandma..The boy sure does love this woman..but who doesn't?? She is heavenly. The visit was soooo nice. This was the good night and goodbyes in the hallway before they went to the hotel for the night. We all had breakfast the next morning, and away they went. Great Grandpa had us laughing the entire visit.
